This Style Print is appropriately Referred to as an Inlay by most Manufacturers . It is also known as a Capped Cover. This Style is used when the Print is intended to run “up” the Roll. An example of this would be better understood if the Print was, say Horses or Houses, which would be upright in an Inlay. If it was made into a Classic Cover, The Horses and /or the Houses would be turned sideways. This Style Cover usually has the Print on Front of the Cover only. A Solid Black Color is used most if there is any Black at all in the Print. If there is no Black in the Print another dominating Color will be used. An example of this would be Blooming Flowers which were Red, White, Green, and Yellow, the Solid color would most likely be Red. You can find Prints which have been “Railroaded”, The Print runs across perpendicular to running Up the Roll. Most designer Prints used for Futons are used for Drapes or conventional Furniture. That’s why You see so many Abstract, Southwestern, Floral, and Geometric designs. it doesn’t matter how You turn it to make it look good.
